TRANSPORTED 644 658 PASSENGERS IN JANUARY 2012 On the routes between Finland and Sweden Tallink transported 207 695 passengers (-9%), between Estonia and Sweden 78 493 passengers (-6.5%), on the Sweden-Latvia route 61 101 (+6.8%) passengers and on Estonia-Finland route 297 369 (-0.4%) passengers in January. The number of transported passenger vehicles increased by 0.6 percent to 70 376 and the number of transported cargo units by 19.9 percent to 24 816 in January 2012. The results of all segments (passenger, passenger vehicle and cargo units) were influenced by the chartering of the Superfast vessels in August 2011 and ending of the operations on Finland-Germany route due to the charter of the vessels. Also the cruise ferry Victoria I operating on Estonia-Sweden route was in planned maintenance for 8 days, the ship was not replaced during the docking.
