Placement guide and costs

Adverts arriving after 31 March and before June 30 will be charged these prices, less 30%.  As of 1 July, full prices apply. The period for which advertisements are displayed are 3 months, with discounts for 6 months, 9 months or a one year booking when paid at the time of placement.

How to place your advertisement in the web magazine

Just email us your request and attach your advertisement, preferably at the right size. See the table below for sizes. You can always send us a larger advertisement and we will reduce its size to fit. As of April 1st we will issue a bill to you which has to be paid within 14 days.

What you get

Your advertisement, banner or logo will appear in at least three places on the website during three months and will be moved regularly, including placement on the home page, to ensure maximum audience visibility. If you want to send us a banner and a logo and an advertisement, we will place each of these once. When we have more space available we may place your advertisement or banner or logo in more than three places.

Agencies

Some agencies find low cost advertising too cheap for them to make money in taking the standard 15% commission. We suggest you place your advertisement yourself. Agencies who place advertising on behalf of their clients can claim the 15% discount available. If you place your advertisement with us directly, we are looking at donating the equivalent of the commission to one of the Baltic Sea charities so that the funds are put to good use. That means that placing your advertising with us is also good for the sea which gives us our work and which needs our help to survive. An announcement on this will come soon when we have complete our evaluation of which charity should be the recipient.

The prices below will apply from 1 July 2012. From 1st April 2012 to 30 June 2012 the rates below are subject to 30% discount.

Prices are subject to VAT depending on where the advertisement is ordered. Non-Eurozone countries will be subject to the exchange rate at time of billing.

Advertising file formats

Until end March 2012 basic web adverts will be accepted in standard pixel density for web use and in JPG, GIF and PNG formats. Animated GIFS may be accepted subject to test. We do not run pop-up ads at this time. Links to company videos may be included in adverts where the video is hosted on the client website and the video URL provided to us. Video will eventually be included in the website as the technical aspects evolve more.
